Following are the details of how we will spin up the teams and projects for Senior Design I over the next two weeks.  Note carefully individual and team assignments specified below.

 

Prior to the lab period on this Friday, 6/6/2008  (9:00am, NH 229)

 

Ø      Identify your proposed team according to the rules discussed earlier.  Key points:

§         Three teams, 4-4-5 members

§         No close friends on same team

§         Must have at least 2 CE/CSE, and 1 CS per team.  SE students must be on different teams.

Ø      Select your top 3 choices for projects from the list

 

Due at the beginning of the lab period on Friday, 6/6/2008

 

Ø      Each individual turn in:

§         Your Individual Assessment Form

ü      Make a copy for your and your teams use and reference later

§         A one-page report that provides

ü      Your Top 3 project choices and your rationale for each choice (brief)

ü      The names of the other members on your proposed

ü      Your choice for the leader of your team

 

During the lab period this Friday, 6/6/2008

 

Ø      You will begin to evaluate your team using the team assessment vehicle as discussed in class.

 

Due Monday, 6/9/2008

 

Ø      Turn in on Monday, 6/9/2008 the team assessment form for each proposed team.

§         Make a copy for use/reference later

Ø      Sometime before class on Monday, each team send to me at odell@uta.edu the following for your proposed team:

§         One PowerPoint slide per the template provided at Team Template (provide info specified by <…>)

 

Due in Lab on Friday, 6/13/2008

 

Ø      First “Weekly” Team Status Reports

§         Preliminary roles and responsibilities of individuals

§         Team weaknesses identified and plan to resolve

§         Early assessment of risks associated with your project
