Instructor's Comments/Notes

1.  Note to Students:  The first classroom session will cover administrative matters, course structure, and an overview of the course.  The second classroom session will be a tutorial that covers the ns/2 simulator and the simulation project for the semester.  Both of these class sessions will be taught this summer by Ms. Stella Choe, our GTA.

2.  Quizzes:  As a general rule, if something is on the class schedule you can expect it to happen.  Additionally, as a general rule, quizzes are given at the end of the class period and cover all material presented/assigned since the previous quiz, up to and including assigned reading for class on the day of the quiz.  You will normally be given about 15 minutes to take the quiz.  Format will be T/F, multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, numerical problems solving, and brief essay questions.  Certain quizzes MAY be open book, so please ensure that you have your textbook (no sharing) in class with you on quiz days.
