Please read revised assignment to be able to meet ABET Outcome requirement for this class. If you do not meet the ABET Outcome for this class you will receive an *Incomplete* for CSE 2140 and will not be able to progress to further classes. Revised CSE2140 Term Project

Homework Problem Set #3 -- Assigned 4/15/08; Due 2:00PM 4/29/08
Work the following problems from the textbook and turn in your answers in hard copy.
6.3, 6.14, 6.19, 6.26, and 8.3

Logicworks assignment #3 -- Assigned 4/15/08; Due 2:00PM 5/1/08
Work problems 6.27 (use gates instead of EPROMS), 8.11, and 8.24 in the Carroll book and design your switching networks/ circuits in Logicworks. Save your final work for each problem and e-mail the following to jxue@cse.uta.edu with the subject: "CSE 2340 Logicworks #3"
1) A single zipped file containing all of the Logicworks files you created for each of the three problems
Mail to Dr. T (tiernan@uta.edu) the following with the subject "LW #3 statement"
2) A brief written statement describing which type of flip-flop seems preferable to use as memory and why.

Logicworks assignment #2 -- Assigned 3/10/08; Due 4/1/08
Work problems 3.16, 4.18(a,b,c), and 4.43 in the Carroll book and design your switching networks/ circuits in Logicworks. Save your final work for each problem and e-mail the following to jxue@cse.uta.edu with the subject: "CSE 2340 Logicworks #2"
1) A single zipped file containing all of the Logicworks files you created for each of the five problems (4.18 has 3 parts)
Mail to Dr. T (tiernan@uta.edu) the following with the subject "LW #2 statement"
2) A brief written statement describing which of these problems was the most challenging and why.

Work through the tutorial Chapter 4 in the LogicWorks 5 book. Save your final work and e-mail the following to tiernan@uta.edu with the subject: CSE 2340 Logicworks #1
1) The Logicworks file you created
2) A mail message stating what you found the easiest to do in Logicworks and what you found the most confusing to do in Logicworks.
