I am an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas, Arlington.
Before joining UTA, I completed my Ph.D in Computer Sciences, University of Wisconsin - Madison in Aug. 2017 thanks to great support from
Prof. Vikas Singh (advisor)
and close collaboration with Prof. Moo K. Chung, Prof. Sterling C. Johnson and Prof. Barbara B. Bendlin and worked as a researcher at NEC Lab., America in Princeton, NJ. Please find my CV here.
I am on leave-of-absence from UTA and have joined POSTECH (in South Korea) as an Assistant Profesor in Computer Science and Engineering / Graduate School of AI. I am currently not hiring any students at UTA.
My research interests lie in multi-resolution analysis of data for various applications in Brain Imaging, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. On the application side, I am particularly interested in developing novel methods to facilitate the analysis of neurodegenerative brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) towards mechanisms for diagnosis, discovering new treatments, and design of new studies. On the technical side, my interests deal with applied harmonic analysis and statistical image analysis.
I am an assistant professor in Computer Science and Engineering, University of Texas, Arlington. I completed my Ph.D in Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in Aug., 2017. I received a B.S. in Information & Communication Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University (S. Korea) in 2008, and a M.S. in Robotics Program at KAIST (S. Korea) in 2010. Before joining UW-Madison, I worked at Hyundai Motor Company as a reseacher in Hybrid System Testing team (Power Electronics part), Environmental Technology Center during 2010 - 2011.
